Benefit for the Family of Travis Hodd
Rudy's Red Eye Grill
Travis is the 15 year old that was hit by an oncoming SUV, while crossing HWY 61 on his snowmobile.  He has endured 8 major surgeries to date, with more to come, as well as long term rehabilitation.  He has come very far, but with a big price.  We are trying to offset the financial burden on his family by holding this benefit.  If you would like to make a donation or have any questions, please contact Karen Metzdorf at 952.295.3047

Memorial Day Weekend - May 25-26
First Minnesota Civil War Encampment
- This event will feture the First Minnesota Re-enactors in full encampment at Polar Lakes Park, including field music and drills on Sunday (5-9pm) follwed by a fireworks show at dark.  On Monday morning (10.30 am) there will be a march to St. Mary's Cemetery with a ceremony and tours of veterans' graves.

"Supporty for Stacey" Benefit

Tickets available at the door $10 Adult - $5 Child (6-12) and Free to Children 5 & under
Stacey Martenson 33, is a wife and mother of 2 young boys.  In December of 2007, Stacey lost her 3rd son at 31 weeks gestation and 2 days later she was diagnosed with AML luekemia, a very aggressive form of cancer.  She remained in the hospital for 7 weeks for chemotherapy treatments.   Stacey will also need to undergo a stem cell transplant which will also require a 4-6 week hospital stay.  Stacey has gone through many complications, bone marrow biopsies and will need to contine consolidation thereapy to ensure the cancer does not return while she waits for a donor.  With the support of the comunity we can make a dramatic differnce in the lives of those who need extra support.
All proceeds from your donation will go directly to Stacey's family to help pay for her medical treatment and recovery.

Survivors' Training & Studio is a non-profit organization formed by Wendy Rahn, a breast cancer survivor, to meet the needs of women for more timely and accurate information about, and training in, physical fitness after a cancer diagnosis.
Tickets are $75.00 each and includes 3 morning (9,10,11am) OR 3 afternoon classes (1,2,3pm), Lunch and Fashion Show (noon - 1pm)

Ten and Twenty Mile Races around beautiful White Bear Lake.  This is the perfect training run before the Twin Cities Marathon.
This race offers Champion Chip Timing, USATF Certified Course, Water/Gatorade stops every two miles, an aboundance of food at end of race,
great T-shirt (short sleeve for 10 mile, long sleeve for 20 mile) and age group awards for top finishers.  Join the nearly 1200 other runners for a scenic jaunt around White Bear Lake.  Sponsored by the White Bear Lake Lions to benefit Special Olympics Area 12 and other Charitable organizations.
